Frances Faminow's paintings and prints are a part of private and public collections all over the world, including Canada, the United States, Australia, Denmark, and England. She has been a Mayne Island resident since the early 1980's.

Her gallery, located in her home, displays her paintings, prints and more recently, her intriguing abstract collages. It also shows off her artistic flair for architectural design -- the floors, doors and windows of the building are works of art!

Frances Faminow studied art history and drawing in Portland, Vancouver, London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Before arriving on Mayne Island, she taught art workshops, organized art shows and worked with children and the elderly in North Vancouver and the lower mainland of BC. Once settled on the islands, she continued teaching children and interested art groups. Currently, she is developing family art vacations and invites those who wish to participate to contact her.
