mile shoreline. The major industry is cane sugar. Over half the land is devoted to growing this product. Tobacco is also a viable crop, producing the famous Cuban
cigar, craved by most cigar afficionado.
Cuba's leader Fidel Castro, has ruled the country with a father-like hand since 1958 and although
tourism dropped dramatically after the revolution, the beauty of the islands still draws thousands upon thousands from
Canada and Europe.
Language is Spanish and the capital city and largest on the island is Havana.
