Frontier Airlines Inaugurates its First International Service
Cancun Service Begins Today; Mazatlan Service Begins Saturday
Denver, Colorado: Denver-based Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT) today
proudly launched its first international service with a historic flight to
Cancun International Airport in Cancun, Mexico (CUN). Tomorrow, Saturday,
Dec. 21, Frontier will expand its list of international destinations with
its inaugural flight to General Rafael Buelna International Airport (MZT) in
Mazatlan, Mexico. Frontier will operate one daily non-stop flight between
DEN and CUN and twice-weekly service, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, between
DEN and MZT. Including Cancun and Mazatlan, Frontier and its affiliate
Frontier JetExpress serve 37 U.S. cities and two cities in Mexico. Both
routes will be flown with the airline's new Airbus A319 aircraft.
"Frontier Airlines is truly flying into a new frontier as we introduce the
only non-stop, scheduled service between Denver and Cancun and Denver and
Mazatlan," said Jeff Potter, president and CEO. "We announced the launch of
this service earlier this year and the employees of Frontier Airlines are to
be commended for their tireless work to reach this historic occasion. We
also owe great thanks to the people of Cancun and Mazatlan, Mexico who have
