China Southern Improves Computer Connection Service At Central China Airport

Zhengzhou, China: China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), the largest airline in The People's Republic of China, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its branded Connection Service to Xinzheng Airport here.

Early last March, Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport began using China Southern's state-of-the-art service to provide passengers a single-ticket connection flight.

Prior to tapping into the China Southern service, airline staff members traveled to Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport to observe the airport's departure front-end system. Although Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport continues to improve itself, many computer logistic operations were limited in scope. After the Connections staff spent time with their operational counterparts at Zhengzhou Airport, they discussed issues on how to proceed connection transit and same-aircraft transit with the China Southern Henan Branch's ground staff and China Travel Sky IT engineers.

Based on continuous testing, the China Southern Connections staff and Henan Branch's ground staff established a detailed workflow for proceeding passenger transit/connections by utilizing the same system in operation at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou.

Effective immediately, all passengers traveling on China Southern flights from Zhengzhou and plan to transit or connect to their on-going flight segment, now will be able to have been able to get their boarding pass for two flight segments, with their luggage directly checked to their final destination. This has further facilitated passengers to transit or connect to their next segment in Guangzhou.
