Train Tales
Trains are magic, romantic, nostalgic, and very adaptable. Trains opened up the west in North
America. In some isolated sections in some countries, like Siberia, trains are the only connection
to the rest of the world. Trains have managed to chug all the way from the past into the future.
Trains carry millions of people to work every day. Trains carry tourists from one destination to
the other. Today, some trains are the destination. When you're on a train, you can enjoy the
scenery or your companion or the atmosphere of the train.
There are speed trains and steam trains and there are private trains that move on private tracks.
There are coal trains, freight trains, flat trains, wine trains and historical trains. Some trains
ignore you completely and some trains treat you like royalty.
Personally, I love trains. Maybe it's because it was a train that transported me from the east coast
to the west coast when I was just a little girl and gave me a sense of adventure. My very best trip
was on the Royal Scotsman.
