Getting to Cologne
Cologne Travel Tip
by Lorry Patton

Although there are two international airports within Cologne's perimeters (the Bonn/Cologne Airport is fifteen minutes away
and Dusseldorf Airport is forty-five minutes away), the majority of visitors are on one of the 1,200 passenger trains that
pull into Cologne Main Station every day. The historical train station is appropriately located
in the Old Town and thus,
Berliners, Parisians, Londoners and other foreigners are instantly confronted with Cologne's grand landmark –
the beautiful Cologne Cathedral.

by Auto
Ten highways lead to Cologne and seven bridges hurdle the Rhine (Cologne sits on both sides of the river). Tourists who arrive
by auto from any direction have easy access to the city.
