Packing for the Bahamas
Nassau Travel Tip
When traveling to The Bahamas, the rule of packing light has to be taken literally, because
weight and space restrictions on the smaller aircraft that fly to these islands are strictly followed.
In fact, the heaviest article on your list should be your camera.
So pack your bag with a couple pairs of shorts and tee's, a cotton dress and sandals for gals, light
slacks and cotton shirt and sandals for guys, a light windbreaker or long sleeve buttoned shirt for
sun coverup and a wide-brimmed hat (or buy a straw hat at one of the colorful straw markets).
Don't forget to add suntan lotion and sunglasses to your toiletry bag and remember, shopping in
the duty-free shops is fun, so leave space for newly purchased attire.
